We’ve explored the Earth’s surface, plumbed the depths of the oceans and even been out into space. But we’ve found no dragons, unicorns or sea monsters. Why then do we still love monsters like Godzilla, and keep creating them? The secrets lie not only in our imaginations but also in the science of how we understand the world.
