Would you like to make a bead bracelet spelling out your name or initial in binary? This is a great way to learn about binary, the language of computers. Choose your two favourite colours of beads to act as zero's and one's and use them to spell out your name or initials in binary. "I enjoyed making the binary bracelet because I loved how it was like wearing a secret code," said one of our visitors who tried it last year. Or maybe you'd like to try playing a game of digital air hockey built by a PhD student on a Raspberry Pi Computer? These and other hands-on, drop-in activities will be on offer at the Open Day in the Department of Computer Science and Technology. Come along to the Department between 11 am and 5 pm to have a go at these and other drop-in activities.
