Exercise is recommended as way of reducing the risk of both developing diabetes and also the complications that may arise once it develops. But what happens when exercise becomes to challenging due to complications such as neuropathy, ulceration or poor circulation? How do we make exercise possible? In this session we will explore the use of new techniques designed to improve physical fitness for the diabetic when conventional methods seem inappropriate or unattainable.

About our speaker

Dan Gordon is a Professor in Cardiorespiratory Exercise Physiology who has over 20 years’ experience in the domain of sports physiology. He is an expert in the assessment of endurance physiology and the impact of training and pathologies on key physiological parameters.
