Classics Beyond Borders: Why More and Better Intercultural Dialogue Matters

1:15pm-2:00pm on Friday 21 March

Times shown are in GMT (UTC +0) up to the 26th March. For events on or after 27th March times are in BST (UTC +1).

Faculty of Classics, Room 1.02, Sidgwick Avenue, CB3 9DA

Classics is thriving in Ghana. It is taught in two public universities (the University of Ghana and the University of Cape Coast) and undergraduate numbers there are growing and bigger than ours in Cambridge.

Classics Beyond Borders is a new initiative in the Faculty of Classics that has formed a collaboration with the University of Ghana and the University of Cape Coast so that we can learn about how colleagues there have dealt with the challenge of decolonisation, increased student numbers over the years, and reinvigorated the discipline.

Come along to hear what the group have learnt so far, the research outputs from this collaboration and why partnerships of this kind can make a difference to the discipline of Classics.
