Have you ever wondered why some diseases often show up together in the same person? It’s not just by chance! There are hidden connections that explain why certain illnesses are more likely to co-occur. You might be surprised to learn that as well as conditions like heart disease and type 2 diabetes that have shared underlying clues, mental health conditions such as depression also have shared connections with heart diseases.
In this card game activity, we will explore the idea of having underlying shared cluses between diseases and group diseases with shared underlying factors (with goody bags to take home after completing the game!). We will also explore how understanding these shared factors can contribute to drug development and clinical management in the future.
