In this interactive story, Mandisa takes the audience through a journey that shows how small actions at the grassroots level can make a big impact. Along the way, there will be hidden clues and hints, pictures, props and music.
Mandisa Nakana-Taylor was born in South Africa, where at the age of 10 she became a presenter on the SABC youth programme YoTV. At the age of 15, she and her colleagues had the honour of interviewing President Nelson Mandela on the show. That same year, Mandisa went on to win the NTVA Avanti award for Best Presenter. In 2002, she was part of a youth delegation that would draft a children’s rights document, which was presented to the UN General Assembly. Mandisa moved to the UK in 2003. A few years later, she took up the role of presenter on the ITV children’s programme The Fluffy Club. Mandisa now works for the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, and continues to be a facilitator for youth empowerment and volunteer youth mentor. She lives in Guildford with her three children.
